Covance Introduces

We are proud to welcome two distinguished additions to our management team:

David Brookes

Principal

David Brookes specializes in the management and execution of continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of various Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and call center technologies. As a project manager in Business Support, his current responsibilities include developing, driving, and maintaining the InTeleCenter® business architecture, including services framework, process architecture, and business capabilities. Additionally, Mr. Brookes leads and manages requirements analysis, business processes definition, implementation, testing, documentation, training and ongoing
activities relating to the development and support of InTeleCenter capabilities.

Prior to joining Covance, Mr. Brookes worked as Project Manager of Continuous Improvement for a satellite communications company. In addition to managing continuous improvement and process re-engineering initiatives, Mr. Brookes managed multiple Siebel implementations and upgrades. Prior to that, he served a variety of industries working for Accenture as a consultant specializing in process and management consulting.

Mr. Brookes received a B.A. in Business Administration from Stetson University. He is a Siebel Certified Business Analyst and has received DCI eUniversity Professional Certifications in CRM Process Modeling and Analysis, and Data Quality.


Dave Coddington

Principal

Dave Coddington has more than seven years experience implementing various customer relationship management (CRM), call center and analytics technologies. He is an expert with Siebel application software and possesses a "Siebel 7 Core Consultant" certification from Siebel Systems.

Prior to joining Covance, Mr. Coddington worked as a management consultant for Deloitte Consulting and Gap Gemini/Ernst & Young. During this time, he completed six full Siebel implementations at various clients.

Mr. Coddington earned an M.B.A. in Information Systems Management from Baylor University and a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics from LeTourneau University.


David Dowton

Principal

David Dowton assists clients in the strategic development and preparation of reimbursement submissions to authorities, including the Australian Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC), the New Zealand Pharmacology and Therapeutics Advisory Committee (PTAC) and the US Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP).  To support the submissions, Mr. Dowton collects data from time trade-off studies, clinician surveys, and database analyses.  He has therapeutic expertise in the areas of infectious diseases, analgesia, and rheumatology.  Mr. Dowton initially joined Covance in a business development
role in 2001 before transferring to the Sydney Health Economics group in 2002.

Prior to joining Covance, Mr. Dowton was a clinical research associate for several global pharmaceutical companies. Before joining the Australian pharmaceutical industry in 1997, Mr. Dowton worked for nine years in HIV molecular virology research at the NSW Institute of Clinical Pathology and Medical Research at Westmead Hospital, Sydney, specializing in nucleic acid amplification technologies. During this time, he published a number of scientific articles in peer reviewed journals, and presented at a number of local and international HIV symposia.

Mr. Dowton received a Bachelor of Applied Science with honors in Biomedical Science from the University of Technology, Sydney.


Lynn Fitzgerald

Senior Director

Lynn Fitzgerald specializes in the delivery of strategic business solutions and technology initiatives through a disciplined focus on process architecture and project management competencies. Her expertise is in the development of custom solutions that support call center, customer relationship management business, and technology capabilities.

Prior to joining Covance, Ms. Fitzgerald worked for 15 years in the field of information technologies as a program director in the financial services and telecommunications industry. In addition,
Ms. Fitzgerald has been responsible for leading several corporate integration and IT development efforts for merger and acquisition activities.

Ms. Fitzgerald received a B.S. in Decision Science & Operational Research from George Mason University.


Helene Kennedy

Vice President, Marketing and Sales

Helene Kennedy has significant experience in consulting, business operations, and program management. Since joining Covance in 1991, Ms. Kennedy has consulted with major biotech and pharmaceutical clients to design, implement, and manage large reimbursement support programs for innovative therapies. Her experience spans oncology, arthritis, dialysis, and HIV.

Ms. Kennedy is frequently asked to speak to audiences within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries about the importance of reimbursement support programs in the successful launch of a new therapy.

Prior to joining Covance, Ms. Kennedy spent three years as a branch manager at a for-profit home healthcare agency.

Ms. Kennedy received a B.S., cum laude, from Lesley College.
